Pilgrim Virgin Mary Statue

NATIONAL MARCH FOR LIFE- January 23, 2026

The annual National March for Life in Washington, D.C. is taking place Friday, January 23, 2026. This year's March features Sarah Hurm as the testimony speaker and Sanctus Real as the musical performers, among others.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

10am Archdiocese of Philadelphia Mass at the Basilica

11-1pm Rally ft. music by Sanctus Real, the Friends of Club 21 Choir & pro-life speakers

1pm March through D.C.

**The meeting place for the Archdiocese and the seminarians will be at 12:30pm at Constitution Ave and 6th Street by the National Gallery of Art. Please come to this location as the seminary banner will be at the front of all the pilgrims from the Archdiocese.**

Directions from the Basilica: Enter the Metro at Brookland-CUA station. Take a Red Line train labeled Shady Grove to GALLERY PLACE / Chinatown. Exit train, and transfer to green or yellow line (labeled to Springfield/Huntingdon, or Branch Ave) one stop to ARCHIVES Station. Walk south on 7th street, left on Constitution to 6th where the National Gallery of Art is located (the travel time is about 30 mins overall from the Basilica to the Archives Station).

Initial Missionary Hubs Designated

An essential part of this initiative is direct outreach to people through the creation of missionary hubs that integrate the pastoral, educational, and charitable ministries of the Catholic Church of Philadelphia in a particular area to reach people who feel far from the Church. More information about the missionary hub concept can be found at https://TrustAndHope.org.

Archbishop Pérez is beginning this multiyear effort by planting one hub in each of the five counties served by the Church. The first five hubs are listed below.

Women's Weekend: Wise Women Journey in Hope

Before the magi arrived, wise women were already present, traveling to tend to a laboring mother and then to her newborn son. Their gifts were simple yet practical- water, blankets, nourishment. The magi, under the guidance of a star, arrived after the birth, bringing gifts intended for a royal ruler. All journeyed in hope- for the life of a new son of Israel and for a future king. Even in today’s troubled world, wise women journey in hope. Join us for a weekend of prayer, reflection, celebration and creative expressions as we journey into our hearts to encounter the Source of our hope.
